Make Your Network Interconnected

A quick networking tip.

If you want to strengthen your relationship with John Doe, develop relationships with the people around him.

Among the many reasons why this make sense, one is sheer efficiency. When your friends are interconnected, they may talk to each other about you or in some other way appreciate the mutual connection.

For example, I recently got to know a young-ish entrepreneur. After we met he studied my blog and friends and reached out to a couple of my friends. After they heard I met with him, they too took a meeting. After they met with the guy they emailed me and we shared our mutual impressions (positive!). Great strategy.

The more "entry points" you have in a relationship with someone the stronger it is.
